About Spiegelman Law PC

We founded Spiegelman Law PC in 2022 with one clear belief: workers come first. Your lawyer should make space for your story, not talk over it or reduce your experience to a legal claim. Grounded in queer, feminist, anti-racist, and unapologetically pro-worker values, we help you navigate a legal system that can feel stacked against you while ensuring your voice is heard.

Based in Los Angeles and Pasadena, Spiegelman Law represents workers throughout California through employment litigation, negotiation, and advocacy. We know employers often have far more money and resources to fight with, so we offer contingency-based representation: we only get paid if you do. That’s one way we level the playing field and give you a fairer shot.

Meet Samson Spiegelman

Samson Spiegelman is a plaintiff’s employment attorney who has practiced alongside highly regarded lawyers on both the employee and employer sides. He launched Spiegelman Law PC in 2022 to build a practice centered on queer and trans workers.

Samson brings a perspective shaped by both legal training and his lived experience. A transgender man with a long history of working with and for the queer community, he studied gender and sexuality at Tulane University before earning his J.D. from UCLA Law, where he graduated from the Critical Race Studies program. His training in queer theory, critical race studies, and feminist theory helps him understand your lived experience in context and then connect it to the employment laws that may protect you.

What Sets Us Apart

You Don’t Have to Explain Yourself

Talking to a lawyer about discrimination can feel especially exhausting when you first have to educate them about your identity. With Samson, you don’t need to explain Queer 101. As a transgender attorney with deep ties to the LGBTQ+ community, Samson understands the language, context, and lived experiences that can matter when you tell your story.

Your Story Stays Yours

Employment law has categories for discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other workplace violations. Your actual experience may not fit neatly into them. Samson starts by listening to what happened in your words. He then connects the details, patterns, and context of your experience to the legal framework, without losing sight of the person at the center.

Progressive on Purpose

Our advocacy is grounded in queer, feminist, anti-racist, pro-worker values and informed by Samson’s academic training in gender and sexuality, critical race studies, and feminist theory. Those values shape every aspect of your experience, including how Samson understands workplace power, approaches your case, communicates with you, and advocates for you.

Workers Come First

Employers often enter legal disputes with significantly more money and resources than individual workers. Spiegelman Law is on the side of the workers. We represent employees through litigation, negotiation, and advocacy, with a client-centered and trauma-informed approach. We also work on a contingency basis, so you can access the legal representation you really need.

Focused on Employment Law

Employment law is all we do. Samson represents California workers facing discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and related workplace disputes. That focused practice is shaped by his work representing LGBTQ+ employees and others whose identities can make navigating workplace problems and the legal system more complicated.

Ready to Take It Further

Not every employment dispute needs to end up in court. But when litigation is the right path, you want an attorney prepared to pursue it. Samson draws on experience from both the plaintiffs’ and defense sides to assess how employers may approach a dispute, negotiate from an informed position, and litigate your case when necessary to pursue a meaningful outcome.

Hire Samson to Be Your Gay Lawyer!

You shouldn’t have to wonder whether your employment lawyer will understand your identity, your community, or why what happened at work matters. Samson Spiegelman brings his lived experience as a transgender man, deep ties to the LGBTQ+ community, and deeply progressive, pro-worker advocacy to employees throughout California. You tell Samson what happened. He’ll connect your experience to the legal frameworks that may apply.

Spiegelman Law works on contingency, so we only get paid if you do. That makes it possible to stand up to employers with far deeper pockets without letting their resources decide who gets heard. If something at work crossed a line (or you’re unsure if it did), contact us for a case review today.
